[Q]What album, in the history of albums, has impacted you the most? [A]MXPX - Life In General. This record was the first punk album I ever bought. Without this album, I would have never been exposed to most of my other favorite bands. All of Our Lady Peace's albums have also aided me in expanding my musical taste. They are the first band I started following seriously years ago, and I still look forward to their next album. [Q]What is your fondest or most insane tour memory? [A]My favorite tour memory takes place on the streets of Tokyo, Japan. While walking through the city on our way to the 100 yen store, we were stopped several times by Japanese fans. This in itself was amazing but the kicker is that some of them carried our albums with them, just in case they happen to run into us. I remember one particular girl actually had a burned copy of our cd, and took the time to copy every single page to make her own inserts, covers, and entire booklet. She probobly spent more money making the burned CD and copies than it would have actually cost to buy the real CD! [Q]Which Bottom Line song is your personal favorite? [A]"Rocks 1.3.2.3," because it has undergone countless changes since we first fooled around with it and continues to change when we play it live. By the time we decided to actually release it, the song didn't even resemble the first version, so it has always been fun to go back and listen to old demos. While recording the vocals for 'In and Out of Luck,' "Rocks" (as we call it for short) was last on the list to finish. We hadn't written lyrics or formulated the harmonies yet and the album was supposed to be mixed in a matter of hours. Needless to say, I thought the song was destined to suck, but it actually turned out to be my favorite. [Q]The one thing I wish to accomplish before the day I die is... [A]...hitting 200mph in a car and living to tell about it...but I guess before I die, I would actually hit 200mph...or...wait...no...it's gotta be your bull... |
